Tackle bottlenecks, ensure the groundbreaking of Lao Cai - Ha Noi - Hai Phong railway

Working with the Deputy Ministers and relevant units, The Minister requested fully optimization of resources, resolving the difficulties to complete all procedure so that the project begin on December 19th as scheduled.

The Minister requested the relevant units to actively cooperate with the Chinese side, accelerate the Report on Possibilities. The participation of Chinese consultants needs to go along with enhancing domestic enterprises, aiming at technical, technological exchanges as well as capabilities advancement. Besides, the general construction proposal needs to be finalized soon, choose contractors and consultants to get ready for the coming stages.

In term of land clearance, The Minister ordered the relevant units to constantly work with localities and Vietnam Electricity (EVN) to accelerate the land clearance and infrastructure relocation. It is a special requirement to prepare clean sites at the location of 5 stations, by which the project is launched timely.

Meanwhile, The Minister also requested that a standard technical system need to be quickly published to synchronizingly apply on the whole national raiways network.

Minister Tran Hong Minh assigned specific tasks and deadlines to relevant units to ensure the project's implementation progress.

"Regarding technology transfering, it is necessary to accelerate the implementation of Railway Technological Complex which aims at the repairation, maintenance and items manufacturing in the future", he emphasized.

At the same time, the Minister requested the completion and submission of the Railway Sector Human Resources Development Scheme for approval by the Prime Minister, while also directing the proactive development of a coordinated and high-quality training plan to serve the entire process of construction, operation, and maintenance in the future.
